Project Description
This bathroom was built around a solid slab of “rain forest” granite. And also proves that a handicap bath doesn’t have to look like a handicap bath. The granite weighed several thousand pounds and was installed on the back wall of the shower before we built the rest of the shower walls. We also used Universal Design for the homeowner who needed an accessible bathroom. The vanities accept a wheel chair; there is no threshold in the shower, and there are grab bars bolted to the walls. A ”sweet spot” and border of different color tile helps the owner see the center of the shower floor. We also installed a bidet toilet seat does everything, with a remote control!
