Project Description
Our clients have a beautiful home in Bethlehem’s Edgeboro Manor neighborhood. Originally built for a vice president of Bethlehem Steel, this well-built home has 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a 3-car garage, everything you could want, except for a dream kitchen.
After removing a hot tub and demolishing a sunroom we added onto the home. Then removed two brick walls on the rear corner of the house. A.D. Moyer Lumber supplied engineered beams to carry the weight, then we T-boned them together in the middle with a steel bracket. Doing this eliminated the need for a post that would have been in the middle of the new island. We remediated several issues with three previous additions not aligning properly to create one huge 16×22’ space. After installing the matching red oak hardwood floor, we refinished the existing first floor so there is no difference between old and new floors. Stofanak Custom Cabinets installed beautiful custom cabinets to brighten up the space anchored by 10’ solid walnut island. Eastern Surfaces Inc. custom-mapped the natural granite so the grain patterns aligned to create a dramatic effect in the room.
