Project Description
This project was designed from the roof down because you don’t have a lot of elevation to work with when you add onto a ranch home. Some additions have a roof that is higher than the house, or worse, a flat roof gets stapled onto the back. After we designed a roofline that matched the home and blended in with the neighborhood, we determined room sizes and wall locations. We enlarged the kitchen, replaced a deteriorating sunroom, and added a huge master suite. The existing middle bedroom became an office that leads into the new master bedroom. On the exterior, we re-shingled the existing roof and installed new siding on the rest of the house to create a seamless transition between the old and new.
